CBER hiring ‘many’ reviewers, Prasad says

Vinay Prasad, director of FDA’s Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research, outlined his leadership philosophy and hiring plans in a memo to staff Monday. He announced a major recruitment effort, particularly for reviewers, and said he is personally reaching out to staff who left the agency in recent years.

“Hopefully you have heard the exciting news that we are hiring many new people (lots of reviewers) to support our mission,” Prasad wrote in the memo. “You may have heard through the grapevine that I have been personally reaching out to our (former) colleagues who have left in the last few years (within and outside FDA) and I plan on bringing several people back.”...
