Bumpus, former FDA No. 2, joins Avalere

Former FDA Principal Deputy Commissioner Namandjé Bumpus joined Avalere Health Advisory as a strategic adviser on scientific strategy and policy to a broad portfolio of clients that includes investment firms, associations, academic medical centers and biopharma and techbio companies. Bumpus joined FDA in 2022 as chief scientist from Johns Hopkins University, where she was chair of the department of pharmacology and molecular sciences. She departed FDA in December, and now sits on the board of Recursion Pharmaceuticals Inc. (NASDAQ:RXRX).
