Botti leaving as head of Inkef’s healthcare investing team

Simone Botti is departing Inkef Capital’s healthcare team, which he joined five years ago and has led since 2023. He did not disclose his next steps, beyond saying he would take a summer break and then help “back home in Israel” by contributing to the local biotech/VC community or the country as a whole.

“One of the lessons that stay with me is that herding sheep and ducks is sometimes easier than pulling together a syndicate for a B round,” Botti wrote on LinkedIn. “Another one is that we need to be willing to stick our necks out and take risks. A few metaphorical slaps in the face are worth the price of helping to change people’s lives truly for the better (and not by maximizing B2B SaaS sales).”...
