As the White House and HHS seek to reduce government payrolls, they are taking steps to prevent those cuts from disrupting medical product approvals.

FDA product reviewers and inspection staff have been excluded from a new buyout program, agency sources told BioCentury. However, other FDA employees, including administrative personnel, are eligible for the $25,000 incentive to voluntarily leave government service.
