CBO gives boost to anti-China biotech bills
Congressional Budget Office estimates no cost to taxpayers from Senate version of Biosecure Act

The Biosecure Act (H.R. 7085) and a Senate companion bill, the Prohibiting Foreign Access to American Genetic Information Act (S. 3558), have received a boost from the Congressional Budget Office.
In a report released April 15, CBO estimated that S. 3558 would have no impact on federal spending because the government would be able to find alternative suppliers to the four companies listed in the bills, BGI Genomics Co. Ltd. (SZSE:300676), MGI Tech Co. Ltd. (Shanghai:688114) and its Complete Genomics unit, and WuXi AppTec Co. Ltd. (Shanghai:603259; HKEX:2359), as well as their affiliates and subsidiaries. ...
