Novartis’ Grant becomes CMO at Celsius

Cancer and autoimmune disease company Celsius Therapeutics Inc. hired Sarah Grant as CMO. Grant joins after a nine-year stint at Novartis AG (SIX:NOVN; NYSE:NVS), where she was most recently chief of staff and strategic assistant to the company’s head of global drug development. Celsius is developing therapies using its Single Cell Observations for Precision Effect (SCOPE) platform and said its lead anti-TREM1 antibody, CEL383, could reach the clinic to treat inflammatory bowel disease in 2023. 

Patient Square-backed gene therapy company Kriya Therapeutics Inc. hired Curt Herberts as president and COO. Herberts joins Kriya from Senti Biosciences Inc. (NASDAQ:SNTI), where he was CFO and CBO from 2018 until 2021, and COO from 2021 until 2022.
