FDA names Bumpus chief scientist, Marston CMO

FDA Commissioner Robert Califf said FDA named Namandjé Bumpus as chief scientist and Hilary Marston as CMO. Bumpus is director of the Department of Pharmacology and Molecular Sciences at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, where her research seeks to mechanistically define the role of drug metabolism in antiviral drug outcomes. Marston is senior policy adviser for global COVID response at the White House and director of Medical and Biodefense Preparedness. She has also spent the past seven years as a medical officer and policy adviser at the NIH’s National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases.
Chad Beyer became CEO at Kures Therapeutics Inc., an ATAI Life Sciences N.V. (NASDAQ:ATAI) company, effective July 1. Beyer is SVP of R&D at Promentis Pharmaceuticals Inc. Kures is developing therapies to manage addictions, depression and pain. ...
