November follow-on roundup: 4Q financings already match 2Q, 3Q

Eighteen biopharmas raised a combined $1.8 billion in follow-on funding in November 2021, dipping slightly from the $2.3 billion raised by 20 companies in October. But at $4.1 billion, the fourth quarter has already surpassed the $4.0 billion raised in 2Q21 and trails 3Q21 by less than $100 million.

While the month once again saw four companies in the $100-$200 million range, only two exceeded that, compared with four hauls over $200 million in October. ...
