BeiGene unveils new CFO; plus Precigen, Alphamab, Flagship, Melinta, Immunome and more
BeiGene Ltd. (NASDAQ:BGNE; HKEX:6160) promoted SVP Julia Wang to CFO, effective June 30. Wang, who joined BeiGene last June, has held leadership roles in finance at Alexion Pharmaceuticals Inc. (NASDAQ:ALXN), Johnson & Johnson (NYSE:JNJ) and Quest Diagnostics Inc. (NYSE:DGX). The company announced in November that CFO and Chief Strategy Officer Howard Liang would retire. Liang, who will depart in June, has played an integral role in bringing global prominence to the China biotech sector over the past five years.
Jingang Wang, the founder, chairman and general manager of Beijing CoSci Med-Tech Co. Ltd., passed away on March 31 at the age of 52, due to a cardiac arrest. Wang, who previously held leadership roles at government-owned enterprises, established the company in 2003 to bring high-quality oral sustained-released drugs to market.
