MBX said the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland dismissed the last of three claims in a countersuit brought by ABT against MBX following MBX's 1998 suit filed against ABT and BioWhittaker Inc. (Walkersville, Md.), a supplier of urokinase to both Abbott and MBX (see BioCentury, Aug. 31, 1998). ABT alleged that MBX misappropriated trade secrets from ABT during MBX's development of ThromboClear urokinase, a generic version of Abbott's Abbokinase urokinase.
