Sepracor sales and marketing update

SEPR posted sales of $2.1 million for the third quarter ended Sept. 30 compared with $3 million in the quarter last year. SEPR sells chromatography media under the name of HyperD, and chiral intermediates for use in synthesizing new drugs.

Revenues in the Chiral group decreased from the previous year due to reduced R&D revenues and a one-time licensing fee in 1992. The company said its strategy to move from an R&D concern to a chiral chemical manufacturer is on schedule but may result in lower revenues and net margins in the next few quarters as it scales up production facilities. ...
