BetaKine transforming growth factor-beta 2 data

Researchers presented evidence at the meeting of the American Academy of Ophthalmology in Chicago that BetaKine used in conjunction with eye surgery can improve vision.

Data from a Phase II trial in 90 patients combining the agent with surgery demonstrated that 72 percent of patients given the higher dose of 1330 ng tested had improved acuity of three lines on a standard eye chart, compared with 30 percent of placebo-treated patients (p < 0.002 at 12 month follow-up).
