In January, the companies agreed to develop CMTR's total cholesterol test, which Advanced Care began selling in U.S. retail outlets in June. The amended agreement calls for certain "product enhancements" to be made to the total cholesterol test, one of which will require less blood to produce results. Advanced Care will continue to sell the tests that already have been manufactured.

Under the new agreement, Advanced Care received exclusive marketing rights for the HDL test for over-the-counter sales in the U.S., Canada and Mexico, and non-exclusive marketing rights for other market segments. CMTR, which received $250,000 upon the signing of the agreement, also will receive milestones and a per-unit transfer price for each product unit sold to Advanced Care. ...
