The Thousand Oaks, Calif., company published its identification of a megakaryocyte growth and development factor (MGDF), and isolation of the corresponding human gene.
As published in Cell, both human and dog MGDF prompt development of the platelet precursors from human CD34+ progenitor cells. ...
