Environmental Protection Agency regulatory update

Two sets of rules affecting agricultural biotechnology, which had long been mired in the federal bureaucracy, are expected to be released this week.

Regulatory provisions for microbiological products contained in Section 5 of the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) and a final rule under the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA) on experimental use permits for genetically engineered pesticides will be published this week, according to the EPA's Office of Prevention, Pesticides, and Toxic Substances. ...
