At the meeting of the Neuro-anaesthesia Society of Great Britain and Ireland, CNSI (Cambridge, Mass.) presented data from an open-label study of 25 patients showing a fall in mean intracranial pressure (ICP) and temperature, with return to baseline in 12 hours.
The patients, who had suffered severe head injury in the previous 72 hours, received a bolus infusion of Cerestat followed by a four-hour infusion of the drug. Data were presented on all the patients at the four lowest doses and the first three patients in the highest dose. ...
