SubMicron Emulsion adjuvant formulated into a gp160 vaccine data

Findings with PARSD's formulation in mice and rabbits were reported at the Conference on Advances in AIDS Vaccine Development in Alexandria, Va., showing that the adjuvant was superior to the standard alum adjuvant when given with MicroGeneSys' gp160 vaccine. The alum formulation generated far lower levels of antibodies against six epitopes of the V3 peptide domain tested, as measured by ELISA, quantitative Western Blot, and PEP scan.
In addition, PARSD's proteosomes, made of the outer membrane of meningococcal bacteria, were used as another adjuvant for the vaccine. Use of the proteosomes raised the levels of antibodies and cut the time to generate the neutralizing antibodies. ...
