Animal data using the company's HPV antisense compound showed superior action to first-generation phosphorothioate antisense agents, according to data presented by Hoffmann-La Roche researchers at a company-sponsored conference on Advanced Antisense Chemistries in Paris. The agents, combinations of modified RNA and DNA that resist degradation, reduced the HPV-induced proliferation of human foreskin tissue grafted into nude mice.
