Results of an animal study with two photochemotherapeutic dyes, ER-470 and BPD-MA, used in combination and activated by a laser light, were published in Photochemistry and Photobiology.

Used in large murine sarcomas (average 1 cm in diameter), the combination therapy resulted in a 95 percent reduction in average tumor weights compared with controls. In addition, 76 percent of the treated mice were tumor-free two weeks after treatment, with no damage to normal skin surrounding the tumor site. ...
