Amphotec colloidal dispersed amphotericin B data

SEQU announced that Amphotec showed an overall response rate of 53 percent in 99 bone marrow transplant patients with fungal infection who received a minimum of seven days of treatment. Candida infections responded at a 67 percent rate. No kidney toxicity was seen.

Data from five open-label trials in a total of 220 patients, presented at the Symposium on Infections in the Immunocompromised Host in Assisi, Italy, also showed a mortality rate of 70 percent.
