Human Genome Sciences, MedImmune Inc. deal

The two companies will collaborate to create vaccines and immunotherapeutics to prevent and treat Staphylococcus aureus infection. The announcement coincided with HGSI’s disclosure that it has sequenced the bacterium’s genome (see Other Research News).
Each company will contribute equally to development costs, and will split any profits equally. HGSI will identify genes and make the proteins for MEDI to test and commercialize. ...
