Data from a multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled Phase I/II study of GS-840 in 72 HIV-infected patients demonstrated that 12 weeks of once-daily treatment was well-tolerated and resulted in statistically significant sustained improvements in two surrogate disease markers.
Data from a subset of patients also indicated that the compound may be active against cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection. The results were presented in Washington at the Conference on Retroviruses and Opportunistic Infections. ...
