Biomira, Neoprobe deal

NEOP received exclusive worldwide rights to use BIOMF's MAb-170 cancer antibody in NEOP's RIGS technology for surgical detection of breast cancer. NEOP plans to conduct a Phase I trial in 45 women who are undergoing breast-conserving surgery. NEOP paid an undisclosed upfront fee and will pay milestones and royalties. The company can use the MAb in the RIGS process for other indications, such as ovarian cancer, for additional milestones and royalties.

NEOP also has access to improvements to MAb-170 and an option to license another BMRA antibody, MAb-174, which reacts with squamous cancers. ...
