biosys, Zeneca Agrochemicals deal

Zeneca Agrochemicals, a business unit of Zeneca Group PLC, will commercialize insecticide products based on BIOS's naturally occurring celery looper (CLV) virus. Zeneca will be responsible for field trials, registration outside the U.S. and for worldwide marketing.

The Columbia, Md., company will receive R&D funding from Zeneca subject to milestones through 1997. Although it is not disclosing financial details, CFO Michael Thomas said the deal is a multimillion dollar agreement. ...
