Cerestat NMDA channel blocker to block glutamate-stimulated calcium entry into neurons after injury data

CNSI (Cambridge, Mass.) announced that a standard dose of Cerestat produces the desired plasma concentration of drug, independent of a patient's weight.
The Phase II trial in 47 patients, treated within 12 hours of injury, was reported at the European Congress of Neuropharmacology in Venice. The regimen of 15 mg, followed by a three-hour infusion, produced a level three times that predicted from animals to be necessary for effect. ...
