Cell-containing implant delivering ciliary neurotrophic factor data

CTII reported pilot trial results in 10 patients, showing concentrations of the neural growth factor in the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF), with none in the bloodstream. Concentrations in CSF were 170-6200 pg/ml.

There were no adverse effects such as weight loss or coughing during the three-month trial, as reported at the meeting of the Society for Neuroscience in San Diego. ...
