University and government researchers published the isolation of a gene on chromosome 11 that suppresses metastasis when introduced into rat prostate cancer cells.

Nude mice injected with rat prostate cancer cells had 58 metastases, while those given cancer cells carrying the introduced gene had only six or seven metastases per mouse. ...
