Ciba-Geigy Corp., Mycogen regulatory update

Ciba-Geigy's Ciba Seeds division and MYCO (San Diego) received from the EPA limited registrations to produce corn hybrids genetically engineered to protect crop pests. The products are modified to contain a Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt) gene to resist damage by European corn borers.
The companies hope that the EPA will grant marketing approval for the seeds in time for the 1996 growing season. ...
