BMRA (Newport Beach, Calif.) said that its subsidiary, Allergy Immuno Technologies Inc., has found that encapsulated house dust mite allergen decreases basophil histamine release in rodents, and increases IgG production, compared to unencapsulated allergen.
By encapsulating allergens in liposomes, the company intends to offer oral desensitization, to replace or shorten the course of allergy injections that often takes several years to complete. ...
