Human Genome Sciences deal

As amended, SmithKline will make a $25 million equity payment for the agreement's third milestone, on Jan. 9, 1996, if HGSI has delivered to the pharma company a specified number of partial gene sequences during 1995 at a specified minimum quarterly rate.

If HGSI does not make the deadline, the payment will not be made until one month after the requirements have been met. If the milestone isn't achieved before May 19, 1996, the payment will be reduced to $20 million. ...
