LIFC (The Woodlands, Texas) presented results of laboratory comparisons, showing that platelets treated with ThromboSol had equivalent or superior functioning after 10 days’ storage at 4 degrees C, compared to conventional storage at room temperature for five days.
As reported at the meeting of the American Society of Hematology, ThromboSol treated and cryopreserved platelets stored for up to 102 days also functioned better than conventionally cryopreserved platelets. ...
