R-albuterol data

SEPR (Marlborough, Mass.) reported results from 40 patients in France with mild asthma. As presented at the Mabon Securities Corp. conference in New York, the nebulizer-administered R-isomer alone, and the currently marketed mixture of R- and S-isomers, gave statistically significant increased lung function at the 20-minute time point vs. the S-isomer alone and placebo.

At 180 minutes after dosing, a statistically significant decrease in lung function was seen with S-albuterol, indicating this isomer is inducing increased bronchial reactivity, the company said. ...
