Genta preclinical data

GNTA (San Diego) announced animal data showing efficacy in two models of human cancer. In nude mice implanted with human colon cancer tissue, two weeks of treatment halted tumor growth for that time and for a brief period following, while control mice continued to show tumor growth.

SCID mice injected with cells that induce human follicular lymphoma developed the cancer within 28 days, but after 21 days of the antisense drug, the treated mice became disease-free, and remained so at 30 days after treatment ended. The controls continued to show disease. ...
