CEGE presented animal data at the American Society of Hematology meeting in Seattle showing successful transplant of engineered stem cells, with protection against tumor growth.
Irradiated SCID mice received injection of malignant lymphoma cells. Of those that also received the stem cells, 8 of 10 survived at least 17 weeks with no residual tumor, as tested by PCR. All animals receiving control stem cells died within four weeks. ...
