SUGN (Redwood City, Calif.) announced that it is developing a new class of inhibitors of cell growth, which act at the transduction step between cell surface tyrosine kinases and the intracellular ras oncogene pathway.
The inhibitors block GRB2, the protein that links the two, the company said at the Signal Transduction Therapy Conference. The inhibitors of GRB2 cause cancerous cells to stop dividing, and enter apoptosis. ...
