SCLN (San Mateo, Calif.) announced interim Phase III results in 14 patients, showing that five (36 percent) seroconverted to negative for hepatitis B DNA, as measured for two consecutive months.
The company said that virtually all patients showed a reduction in the viral DNA. Significant clinical improvement has been seen in the responding patients, including reduced levels of ALT, a liver enzyme indicative of liver damage. ...
