CYTO reported at the American Urologic Association meeting in San Francisco that a PCR assay based on the MAb detected cancer in 10 of 16 patients with known disease, compared to an assay based on prostate-specific antigen (PSA), which detected 2 patients as positive.

The assay can find as few as one cancer cell in 10 million blood cells. Both tests scored all eight negative controls as negative. ...
