SMTG (Boulder, Colo.) presented data from four Phase I studies in healthy volunteers at a conference on blood substitution sponsored by NIH and the University of California, San Diego.
Among the data not previously discussed in detail, SMTG said that dose-related rises in blood pressure averaged 10-15mm of mercury and were self-limited, resolving spontaneously. The company said that in certain situations, such as patients with hypotension or shock, increases in blood pressure could be of benefit. ...
