The Vancouver, Wash., company announced results of a study in the Ivory Coast that followed 250 individuals at high risk of HIV infection.
In one instance, seroconversion was coincident with a positive saliva test for HIV antibody, using the company's collection device. The patient who seroconverted after three weeks of the study, which collected simultaneous blood and saliva samples weekly, demonstrates that saliva testing can detect seroconverters, the company said. ...
