Lion Pharmaceuticals, Johns Hopkins University deal

Lion was launched as an independent company from the university's office of technology licensing. Lion plans to be a discovery engine to commercialize research done at Johns Hopkins and other universities, with a focus on developing small molecule therapeutics. Lion intends to fund several early-stage projects at academic institutions in several disease areas with the potential to license some or all. Once programs are licensed, the company plans to apply combinatorial chemistry, genomics, assay development and screening, and bioinformatics to the programs, and then seek partnerships. ...
