Dyax restructures

DYAX reduced its headcount in its biopharmaceutical business to 112 from 133 and narrowed the scope of its early stage screening programs. As restructured, DYAX Chairman and CEO Henry Blair said the company will limit the libraries against which it screens its targets to antibodies instead of antibodies, proteins and peptides. DYAX said it will continue to focus on its DX-88 yeast-derived recombinant kallikrein inhibitor protein, which is in Phase II testing for hereditary angioedema and Phase I/II testing for cardiopulmonary bypass, and DX-890, a polypeptide inhibitor of neutrophil elastase that is in Phase II testing for cystic fibrosis. ...
