NIH names two institute directors

NIH director Elias Zerhouni filled top positions at the National Institute of Mental Health and the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism. Thomas Insel, director of the Center for Behavioral Neuroscience at Emory University School of Medicine (Atlanta, Georgia) has been named director of the NIMH, where he will oversee a research budget of $1.3 billion.
