GSK discussing flu vaccine with FDA

GlaxoSmithKline (LSE:GSK; GSK) is discussing with FDA the possibility of shipping its Fluarix influenza virus vaccine to the U.S. to help alleviate shortages caused by the shutdown of Chiron's U.K. flu vaccine plant, a GSK spokesperson told BioCentury. "We are in ongoing discussions to see if there is some way we can provide a short-term solution, but we are also very interested in being in the market in the U.S. market for the long-term," said GSK spokesperson Danielle Halstrom.
