Nycomed to acquire Bradley

Nycomed (Zurich, Switzerland) agreed to acquire dermatology company BDY for $20 per share, or $346 million in cash. The deal is a 25% premium to BDY's close of $16 on Oct. 29, before the deal was announced. Nycomed said BDY's products and capabilities are complementary to its own and provide the "opportunity to enhance its platform for acquisition, in-licensing and co-promotion." BDY's products include Adoxa doxycycline for acne and the Keralac line of 50% urea formulations to treat dry skin and damaged nails. Nycomed's U.S. dermatology portfolio includes topical corticosteroids Cutivate fluticasone and ApexiCon E diflorasone diacetate. ...
