Amylin's Cook, Wilson lose re-election bid

Amylin Pharmaceuticals Inc. (NASDAQ:AMLN) said shareholders ousted Chairman Joseph Cook and lead independent director James Wilson. The preliminary tabulation of votes from last week's annual meeting showed shareholders of the diabetes company elected Kathleen Behrens and Alexander Denner, candidates nominated by activist investors Eastbourne Capital Management and Carl Icahn, respectively.
