Zogenix raises $36 million

Zogenix Inc. (San Diego, Calif.) raised $36 million in the first tranche of a planned $51 million series B round. The tranche was co-led by existing investors Clarus Ventures and Domain Associates. New investor Oxford Finance Corp. and all existing investors participated, including Scale Venture Partners; Thomas, McNerney & Partners; and Abingworth Management.
