Biogen Idec begins tender offer for Facet

Biogen Idec Inc. (NASDAQ:BIIB) said it began a tender offer to acquire all outstanding shares of partner Facet Biotech Corp. (NASDAQ:FACT) for $14.50 per share in cash.
