FDA grants emergency use for Gen-Probe's H1N1 diagnostic

FDA granted an emergency use authorization (EUA) for Prodesse ProFlu-ST from Gen-Probe Inc. (NASDAQ:GPRO) to diagnose swine influenza A (H1N1) infection. The RT-PCR test is authorized for use in CLIA laboratories for the duration of the emergency, which is set to expire on April 26, 2010.
