Astellas extends OSI offer

Astellas Pharma Inc. (Tokyo:4503) extended its unsolicited tender offer of $52 per share for OSI Pharmaceuticals Inc. (NASDAQ:OSIP) to April 23 from March 31. As of Tuesday, 37,858 shares have been tendered, which represents less than 1% of OSI's 58.3 million shares outstanding at Feb. 15.
