Genzyme reports earnings

Genzyme Corp. (NASDAQ:GENZ) reported 1Q10 non-GAAP diluted EPS of $0.37, beating by $0.04 the Street's estimate of $0.33 and down from $0.82 in 1Q09. The EPS figure excludes stock compensation expenses, costs from the acquisition of cancer products from Bayer AG (Xetra:BAY) and the impact of an anticipated $175 million fine by FDA (see above). ...
